These are some thoughts I originally wrote down back in June of 2009. God laid it on my heart yesterday so I went searching for it to post it here. We are created by Him and will forever be His.

It seems the older I get the more natural I want my life to be. I hate knowing that the foods we ingest are so full of preservatives...do you ever wonder if our bodies will be mummified because of them? Just me? It wouldn't surprise me if it was just me who thought that.
Anyhow...onto the tortillas. I've always been intimidated to make homemade things-- outside of cookies that is. Tortillas? Who does that? The answer is ME! I do it and they are the best darn tortillas you've ever eaten! Better yet, NO preservatives! I know exactly what goes into them because I pulled it out of the cabinet. I searched the web for what seemed like forever and the recipes seem to vary only slightly. I found this recipe at the link posted at the end of the post The result? 12 fresh, homemade tortillas that were inhaled by my family in less than 20 minutes. One of my daughters said "These tortillas are so good, they even make the cheese taste better!" Why, thank you my dear! They knew God but did not praise and thank him for being God. Instead, their thoughts were total nonsense, and their misguided minds were plunged into darkness. ~Romans 1:21
I've learned a lot over the years about the power of the mind. Especially the power of the thoughts of our mind. Like everyone in this world my life has had a mix of highs and lows, ups and downs, focus and chaos, and with each good or bad situation my thoughts were transformed to fit the mold of the circumstance. |
